Studio McGee launches their second collection with Threshold at Target on Sunday. Apparently pieces from their last collection sold out in minutes. I’m not usually one to jump on the bandwagon but I do love being able to supplement my decor with some awesome affordable finds. Here are the 9 pieces I think would be worth putting in your cart ahead of time…
Pouf with leather loop handle in Beige: [here] This pouf is unique and for the price, I’d grab two to have on hand for a movable ottoman or extra floor seating. Note that these poufs are fairly small. I’d probably store them under a coffee table or console rather than make them a fixed furniture piece in a space.
Decorative bottle vase: [here] I love a pop of black in a vignette and this vase is right on trend with the stone bottom. At this price point, I don’t mind buying something that might be out of style in a season or two. (There’s always spray paint, right?)
Vintage Landscape: [here] Vintage art is having a moment which makes authentic pieces really expensive. I love that these offer a really attainable way to get the same look. Usually, I’d be weary of buying mass produced art, but when a space calls for it, this particular piece is nondescript enough to pass for something unique.
Faux Fern: [here] I typically don’t mind spending good money on quality faux plants that look like the real deal. Budget fauxs tend to look a little wonky. But this one is full enough to fool you and I’d probably buy it as a shelf filler.
Boucle Throw in Taupe: [here] This looks like the perfect cozy throw for Fall and the coloring is great.
Surfside Round End Table: [here] I often shy away from budget “wood” furniture in favor of saving up for the real deal. This table, however, has a nice natural stain to it (none of that weird orange) and a silhouette that lends itself to many different styles. Note that as is typical with budget furniture, this table measures fairly small. I’d pair it with a side chair instead of a sofa to keep it from getting lost in a space.
Decorative Banana Leaf Basket: [here] Those trendy grey wash baskets are out and warm banana leaf baskets are in! These have a nice natural coloring (again, no weird orange tint) and the leather handle is a nice upgrade. I was surprised to see that these measure so large. I would snag some of these!
Seagrass Table Lamp: [here] I love a sizable lamp and these are surprisingly big for the price. I love how the sophisticated shape is warmed up by the seagrass wrapping. These would be beautiful on either side of a linen bed.
Scatter Rug: [here] Natural looking neutral colors are sometimes difficult to come by when it comes to lower priced decor. I love the simple, understated color and pattern of this rug. Plus, it’s an indoor/outdoor rug which would make it great for layering under your welcome mat.
I find myself dreaming up pretty sofa and rug combinations for our next home. When…
