As Brad and I prepare to move back home to Florida shortly after Christmas, most of our holiday decor will stay boxed up this year. I can’t help but feel a little tinge of FOMO every time I see someone’s beautifully decorated tree!
In an attempt to join the fun, I’ve rounded up my favorite Wayfair picks to recreate last year’s holiday look. Wayfair is my go-to for affordable decor goodies and there is SO much to choose from. Hopefully this guide makes it easy for you to get started on your own decor. (And then please send me a picture of it so I can live it through you!)
Christmas Tree | The footprint of our living room is small but our ceilings high, so a tall slim tree was the perfect solution. Wayfair has put together a guide to choosing the perfect tree for your space (see it here.)
Tree Collar | A woven tree collar is a no fuss solution that creates a fuller look than a tree skirt and adds a bit of an organic touch to the space.
Floor Vase | For a unique touch, I used a sturdy floor vase to hold some birch branches. This adds height to the vignette and is a neat way to display some natural elements.
Birch Branches & Logs | Birch, with its creamy white bark, is an obvious choice for neutral-lovers.
Faux Fur Blanket | I love using a faux fur throw to create a sort of “rug” for the gifts. It adds such a cozy touch.
Stools | I use mini stools to create different levels for the gifts. It gives the whole space a fuller look and keeps your pretty packages from being hidden.
Lanterns | I wish I had saved a photo of this view at night with the lanterns and tree lights glowing. It’s magic!
Magnolia Garland | I love the bold and heavy hues of magnolia. It adds a touch of contrast to the otherwise light and airy setup.
Stockings | Simple linen stockings are my favorite.
Wood Garland | I love the handmade, old-timey feel of wood garland around the tree. I use it to help fill in any bare spots.
Ornaments | I chose a selection of ornaments in neutral colors and natural materials for an organic feel. Wayfair has put together a helpful Christmas Tree Decorating guide to help you determine how much garland, lights, ornaments etc. that you’ll need to cover your tree! See it here.
