Hello, neighbors! Phew, I really let Gold Coast Canvas take a back seat in 2021. It was nice to focus on other parts of life (like a new job!) but ultimately, I realize that my biggest hurdle has been my creative slump and I should get back to doing what I love. I knew our renovations would be slow (both for budget reasons and because we were just wanted to relax and enjoy home for a while) but the pace often leaves me frustrated and impatient. I’m hoping that this new intention to celebrate and share even the smallest improvements will spark my creative flow again.
Before we move forward, let’s take a look at what we accomplished in our first year:
We painted (nearly) every room in the house ourselves:
We transformed our fireplace with our most challenging DIY yet [read more here]:
